“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.”
~Michael Jordan
Research shows that the cognitive knowledge and capabilities of a team only contribute to 25% of a team's performance. The other 75% is determined by interpersonal communication and collaboration.
''Creating a Winning Team'' is an inspirational performance and development program that empowers teams to improve their collaboration, communication and, ultimately, their performance.
''Creating a Winning Team'' gives life to the vision of developing strong partnerships through an “open, transparent, and collaborative” organization. As a result of attending the program, team members and leaders are empowered to take full responsibility for their current results and processes, and are inspired to become the authors of their own successful future.
The program is a 'model of excellence', in so far as it has proven itself with many teams both inside and outside our organization.
The program's objective is to create the solid foundations that are necessary for teams to develop and sustain top performance. The training supports teams in mobilizing themselves to take full ownership of their current and future challenges while working in complex environments by:
Enhancing team members' knowledge and insights around three key elements:
Training team leaders and members in dealing effectively with specific challenges:
Creating a Winning Team produces insight and action-based learning through short presentations, DVD showcases, interactive workshops and breakout exercises, as well as personal and group reflection.
Individual and group insight is accelerated by precise, meaningful feedback from facilitators, and, as far as possible, cases and breakout exercises are tailored to the daily realities of participants. This develops self-awareness for teams and individuals, allows for the practice of new skills, and increases the self-confidence of participants.
The modular design includes follow-up coaching in combination with the assignment of real tasks or challenges that are related to a team's development process, and which then can be shared and discussed during coaching for enhanced experiential learning.
This 3-day, face-to-face, covers the key elements of high performing teams. The program is tailored to obtain maximum advance from participants and focuses on real team issues and elevating collaboration. The training combines short presentations, video examples, group and sub-group exercises, and development workshops, to ensure the team is on track to a successful future.
This offsite program effectively combines classroom training with fun and relevant activities that support teams in identifying and overcoming any dysfunctional aspects of their collaboration.
(Recommended for larger project teams)
This program is aimed at all team and project leaders that are part of a larger project organization. The training is, ideally, two days face-to-face, including an evening program on the first day. It covers the key features of effective team leadership, including group facilitation skills, and competency in leading remote and virtual teams. The training is highly interactive with many opportunities to practice conducting team leadership and facilitation exercises. The content covers key communication skills, group facilitation, handling resistance, dealing with conflict, and key elements of leading virtual and remote teams.
This 3 x 90 minute virtual program is aimed at team members and leaders who are part of a virtual or remote team. The program builds on the content and insights from Modules 1 and 2, and engages both leaders and their team leaders in handling the specific challenges and barriers that are part of their daily reality. It features tips, techniques and skills for leading and participating in virtual meetings, and includes a model virtual meeting.
To enhance the impact of the first module and ensure that key learning, insights and commitments are embedded, an effective mix of follow- up coaching solutions supports the program:
The role of the leader has a decisive impact on the Team's success. Furthermore, the involvement of the leader before, during, and after the training modules directly impacts how team members apply their learning and adhere to commitments and agreements. Coaching in this context is not a 'fix it' solution. Its purpose is to provide a support structure and ensure that sufficient attention is given to the process of leadership, team management, and collaboration within the team.
A mix of face-to-face and virtual coaching to enhance the performance of team members. In addition to regular face-to-face and/or virtual coaching conversations the coaching can include real-time observation followed by direct feedback, as well as observation of virtual team meetings.
To support participants in transferring the acquired knowledge into their daily practice. TNM has a pool of experienced, credentialed coaches to support the personal development of individual team members and, as a result, strengthen the team overall.
This program has been specifically designed and tailored to the needs of leaders and members of project teams of all sizes, from larger CPD matrix teams to smaller local teams.
